The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning

The Center for the Advancement of Learning (CAL) at the 麻豆精品 (UDC) embraces the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) as a foundational approach to enhancing student learning through research-driven teaching practices. SoTL encourages faculty to systematically examine their teaching methods, assess student outcomes, and contribute to the growing body of knowledge on effective pedagogy. At CAL, we integrate SoTL principles into faculty development initiatives, instructional design support, and digital learning strategies, ensuring that teaching innovations are evidence-based, equitable, and aligned with UDC’s mission as a public, historically Black, and urban-serving institution.
